Several of my readers have asked me to create a 'Things That Inspire' facebook page, so that they can follow my blog on Facebook. So here it is! Click here to go to my blog's facebook page, and become a fan.
I can already see some interesting ways to use Facebook to supplement my blog...like when I write a post, and a reader sends me the perfect image to illustrate the post . Or, when I come across something interesting that my readers might like, but it is not involved enough for a post. I will also use my new Things That Inspire Facebook page to link to posts on other blogs that have captured my eye!
Come over and see a few more pictures of the Bishop House that were sent to me after the post went up! I posted them on my new Things That Inspire Facebook page, just to entice you to visit.
Great idea. I'm already a fan...
ReplyDeleteYou've inspired me! I'm a fan in both places! xa
ReplyDeleteclever enticement...it worked!
ReplyDeleteClever you...what a good idea, xv.
ReplyDeleteYou will have to let me know about your FB fan page! I have a personal account, but haven't started a fan page (too much work?).
ReplyDeleteHave a great holiday weekend!
xo,
cristin
I will probably be the lone mood killer. I don't twitter either. I just don't think I can handle one more distraction as good as I'm sure yours will be. But of course I am wishing you good luck!
ReplyDeletewe started our blog because we had so much success with our FB page but it's interesting how they've developed their own personalities over time. already enjoying yours and looking foward to more 'extras'
ReplyDeletehave a good weekend, hope yall aren't getting too much snow--I've never seen so much snow in Bham before!
I promise that the FB page will not change 'business as usual' at Things That Inspire - but I must admit, I am loving seeing some of my readers faces!
ReplyDeleteThere you go. It's about reaching folks and helping folks in their favorite places. Some folks use Facebook a lot, some twitter, some myspace. Some do it all. Some of my high school friends are planning a reunion and spending a lot of time on Facebook right now. So that's where to reach them.
ReplyDeletefanned and favorited, holly! i hope you pay more attention to your FB page then i do mine- it s the ugly stepchild of my social media forays...
ReplyDeletedid you get snow today?
I have started reading FB more now that I have it on my iphone - it's a good thing to do when waiting in carpool line! Like Terry said, it seems like people adapt to different media - some like email, some like going to a website, some like google reader, some like FB.
ReplyDeleteYes, we got snow in Atlanta - second time this year! My back yard and the woods behind it look like a scene from Narnia. It's actually a little bit disconcerting - I have lived here for 13 years, and I can't recall ever seeing snow that stuck to the trees.
I'm going to keep my email subscription (I do get a thrill when I see 'Things That Inspire' in my inbox - and I save every one for reference), but I will also be a fan so I know the moment you have a new post. Thank you for giving your readers so many ways to be inspired!
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan in blog-land and on Facebook! Keep up the wonderful posts. You'll be "inspiring" more people! xoxo
ReplyDeleteWelcome aboard!! Facebook is a great tool to have and use and can be fun. Thrilled to see you there and look forward to all the little extras you might post. xo
ReplyDeleteVery cool!I love facebook :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats! come join me too! smiles.
