Top pinned images of January 2014

As the first month of the year draws to an end, here are the beautiful images that were most pinned from my Pinterest boards in January 2014.  This post is full of beautiful interiors, great recipes, and really good ideas.

Pinterest is one of my favorite places to go for inspiration and discovery, and my collection of images continues to grow every month. I love seeing what captures pinners’ eyes – often they are pictures that are relatively undiscovered or particularly beautiful.   Sources noted where possible, but some of these images have become separated from their source. I am happy to add a source if the image is your design or if the original designer/publication can be identified.

The top pin of the month, this bedroom is so serene and stylish.

French perfection from Birmingham based Carraway & Associates Architects.  I love the combination of the limed brick, the cedar shake roof, and the French details.

A handy pillow guide with names and sizes. Image source.

This dining room had great appeal on Pinterest. Designer unknown.

A guide for how to hang pictures or photographs on the wall. Image source.

A comment on this picture: ‘So thoughtfully designed’. I couldn’t agree more, and would love to know the designer. Via Architectural Digest.

Collins Interiors.  They always use the most beautiful (and wonderfully scaled) art in their designs.

A white kitchen with lovely gray and green accents.

I spent a lot of time pinning flowers this month, both because I had two big parties in recent weeks, and because the beauty of flowers helps me cope with the winter doldrums!

Lots of bedroom pictures made it to the top of the list this month. This is a soothing and beautiful bedroom. Designer unknown.

The clean limes and symmetry of the framed intaglios are perfect for this space. Courtney Giles Interiors.

A classic guest room by James Michael Howard.

A vignette from Max & Company, from my post on bedside décor.

A pretty arrangement of flowers, in an ideally shaped vase.

A Pennsylvania Bucks Country style house, by architect Jack Davis.

Beautiful bedroom, interior design by C. Weaks Interiors, photography by Emily Followill.

Interior design by Joan Osofsky and Dana Simpson, via House Beautiful.

An ethereal room by Phoebe Howard.

I have not tried this yet, but it looks amazing! Original recipe can be found here.

Another bedroom vignette from my recent post on bedside décor, as seen in Max & Company.

I pinned this because I like the stone detail around the fireplace opening. It was an instant hit on Pinterest.

A beautiful room by Amber Interiors, full of texture and style.

A charming bedroom designed by Markham Roberts, via Architectural Digest.

I found this recipe this week – it was very easy and was a big hit with my family. Original recipe here.

This image was from my post on the Home for the Holidays showhouse, now on the market. Interiors by Musso Design Group.

A lovely vignette of the exterior, attributed to Scott Shrader. I love the asymmetrical placement of the boxwoods, and the way in which the trees and steel window reflect in the pool.

This serene living room is very much my style. Isn’t it interesting that the fireplace is off center?

Design by JFS Design Studio.

A gorgeous bathroom by Suzanne Kasler Interiors.

I just pinned this yesterday, and it immediately resonated with my Pinterest followers. A reader reports that it is the kitchen at the Chancellor's residence at North Carolina State University. The home was a collaboration involving interior designer Judy Pickett and  Marvin Malecha, dean of NC State's design school, who served as the project's design architect.
