Top pinned images of 2013

As the year draws to an end, I thought about what my ‘best of’ post should include. In years past, I have featured favorite posts from around the blogosphere – truly impossible now given the sheer number of blogs out there! I have also written about favorite posts and images from my blog. But this year, when Pinterest has really become such a part of my visual inspiration, I leave you with the top images that were pinned from my Pinterest boards.  This post makes me happy – it’s a visual feast!  There are some wonderful pictures, great recipes, and many good ideas that I have tried and tested. Sources noted where possible, but some of these have become separated from their source. I am happy to add a source if the image is yours.

Phoebe Howard. A beautiful neutral room, and I love how there are two loveseats with single cushions in front of the fireplace.

Only one dining room among the most pinned, but it’s a beauty. Design by Suzanne Kasler Interiors.

Taken from a real estate listing, I think this is a novel approach to concealing a toilet (it is hidden behind the curtain). The lamps on the counter are also a wonderful alternative to sconces in this guest bathroom. Design by Betty Burgess.

I pinned this as there is a niche in my kids’ playroom that would look great with fabric. This captured the attention of dozens of pinners. Via Pinterest.

The dining area and family room blend seamlessly, due to the use of the same fabric in both spaces. Via Décor Pad.

This was pinned hundreds of times. Image source.

This really works! It’s particularly good on towels or clothes that smell a bit musty or moldy. I wash my dog’s bed once a month with vinegar then baking soda – it does wonders!

I pin food quite a bit, and this one caught the eye of a lot of people. http://www.mybakingaddiction.com/quick-and-easy-recipes-for-summer-entertaining/
