I have saved all of these pictures into my inspiration file for one reason: the Baltic console by Niermann Weeks. There is something so exquisite about the carvings; they remind me of Celtic knots.

It is quite striking in black and gold.

The Quatrefoil

I have always loved the quatrefoil shape, which is composed of four equal lobes. Historically, the quatrefoil pattern is common in Gothic and Moorish architecture.
