I am going a little off topic to spread the word about my new favorite show: Glee. Have you seen it? It is a wonderful mixture of adult soap opera, high school drama (which, despite being in my late 30s, I have an unreasonable love for high school shows), comedy, and musical. I love it, and look forward to Wednesdays when it airs on Fox. I even watch it live - virtually unheard of for me in the age of 'on demand' tv and TiVo.
Here is the trailer:
And a great clip:

All previous episodes (there are just a few) can be seen on the Fox website, just click here. Watch the pilot first to get the background of the show (although I didn't do that - I watched the second episode first and had no trouble). Welcome to the Glee club - once you watch you will be addicted!

ReplyDeleteDITTO EXACTLY what Camila of High Heeled Foot in the Door said!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat show is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. I always wished I could sing, but, alas, my voice is so bad that I have to lip sync.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I watched the trailer and it looks 'Wonderful'! I'm going to go back and watch the episodes. I had seen a commercial for it this earlier in the summer, and then forgot about it, so glad you went off-topic!
ReplyDeleteLove Sue the cheerleading coach, she's on Two and a Half Men and I think she is brilliant. And that new teacher is so cute!

ReplyDeletehey there!
ReplyDeleteyou NEVER go off topic, so i love that you felt strongly enough about glee to do so! i'm digging it too- so campy and fun (and that matthew morrison's dreamy wavy hair is worth watching for alone ;-).
i too have have a guilty pleasure weakness for teen drama (especially when played by 20 somethings) since the original 90210 was on the air, way back when, so you are for sure not alone!
see you in glee club!

My husband and I love Glee! We consider it our Wednesday night special!
ReplyDeleteI definitely recommend watching the first episode, we think it was the best.
Here's to nine o'clock!
After this post I immed went to hulu and ended up watching all 3 eps in a row (hubby wasn't home, kids already in bed). Thanks for the recommend! I agree w/Peggy, the first ep was the best so far, but they've all been top quality. Josh Groban segment at end of Acafellas = hilarious.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of the comments, everyone! M21, I agree - love Matthew Morrison and his wavy hair.
ReplyDeleteI will watch only because you say so! (:
ReplyDeleteThank you for directing me to this show! I don't watch a lot of TV, but last night when my family went out, I watched the pilot episode and loved it! It's a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to catching up on the rest of the episodes.
ReplyDeletewell I watched the first Ep in Australia tonight, and I really liked it... will watch again next week, the PE teacher is hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHow amazing was last night's episode? Prior to it, the pilot remained my favorite, but that just got the boot for the "Single Ladies" craze! I was laughing out loud every time the song came on and Kurt did his skip before punting.
ReplyDeleteI wish you health and happiness every day!

YES! I just love Glee. It's so much fun, and I find myself laughing out loud a lot. I knew it was about music but had no idea how irreverent and hilarious it was.
