This past month has been really beautiful in Atlanta, so I have been walking my dog quite a bit. Of course, to keep me inspired I pick my favorite areas of Atlanta for the walking routes, and particularly enjoyed the Halloween decorations along the way. Here are a few ‘Halloween houses’ that caught my eye.
If you look closely at this picture, you will see so many interesting decorations. I particularly like the skeletal bride and groom on the door.
The white picket fence is looking spooky at this house!
I love the bat that is perched over the front door. I just noticed the witch flying into the utility pole!
It’s a bit hard to see in the picture, but that figure in the window is a pirate who will undoubtedly be watching the trick or treaters as they approach the door.
This property lent itself beautifully to ghostly creatures hanging from trees (it must have taken some effort to hang these guys!). When I saw them, the wind was blowing, and they truly looked like they were floating through the trees.
Another eerie apparition on the same property.
Spiders and spiderweb on mailboxes was a popular theme this year.
I thought this mailbox décor was clever.
Taken from a distance, as the house is set back quite far from the street. I doubt that there are many trick or treaters who venture onto this property, but it looks like the owners get into the Halloween spirit with an inflatable bat on the roof to the right, a spider to the left, and another spider crawling down the house in the middle.
I love the look of black spiders climbing up a white house.
I hope everyone has a safe and fun Halloween!

Good morning Holly...wow with such eye candy, it could make me actually like walking:) Lots of pretty inspiration and lots of beautiful stately homes too. Hope all is well with you and you are settling into what I am sure is your beautiful new home. Happy Halloween to you too!
ReplyDeleteGiant spiders everywhere!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful thing to live in a city that has such Halloween spirit!
ReplyDeleteIt is so disappointing to see you point out such horrible things. I usually love everything that you do, but Halloween ugliness is no joke.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great neighborhood to go walking through. Such beautiful homes with fun decorations. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteWell somebody is making a bundle off of fake cobwebs in Atlanta! Loved the bat over the door.....Anonyomous needs to lighten up. It's temporary.Maryanne xo
ReplyDeleteI live in Atlanta and it was almost impossible to find the big spiders - they sold out quickly! That seems to be an Atlanta thing. I never saw that when I was growing up in New Jersey.
ReplyDeleteWe did the fake spiderweb one year, but it was a soggy mess after Halloween so I am skipping it now!
I absolutely love to see houses! Especially in Atlanta... My sister-in-law lives there and we are always driving around to see the pretty homes all over!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!

Love the Halloween tour! I love the spiders crawling up the house. So eerie! Oh the days of trick-or-treatingin Atlanta! I miss all of the holiday spirit here in the country as we only get a handful of kids each year. The cows and chickens just don't seem to get in the spirit. =)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great Halloween! The mailbox decor is my fav!
